CPHLESA – Copenhagen Local Expatriate Spouses Association is an active community, created and run by the UN Spouses and Partners.
The majority are expatriates who have joined their partners on their UN assignments around the world.
We understand that moving to a new place can be overwhelming, especially when you are far from home and your support network. That’s why we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where our members can share their experiences, enhance their professional skills, and build meaningful friendships.

Objectives
- Foster a sense of community among UN spouses and partners.
- Provide a platform for members to connect and exchange information, tips, and advice on living and working in Denmark.
- Offer resources and support to help expat spouses and partners navigate the challenges of relocating to a new country and culture.
- Facilitate networking opportunities for members to build professional and personal relationships, including potential job or volunteer opportunities.
- Organize events and activities that promote cultural exchange and understanding among members and the broader community.
- Advocate for the needs and interests of its members within the UN system and in the host country.
- Foster leadership skills and empower members to pursue their goals and aspirations, both within and outside the UN system.
- Uphold the values of diversity, inclusion, respect, and collaboration in all our activities and communication.
